01 · WHY LARAVEL

Laravel 11 for products that ship in weeks.

Eloquent, Filament, Inertia and Livewire cut time-to-market. Octane and Horizon hold throughput. Forge and Vapor automate deployment. Every piece designed to ship product and scale after.

01

Time-to-market without shortcuts.

Laravel 11 delivers authentication, validation, routing, jobs and notifications from the first commit. MVPs and SaaS in production in six to ten weeks with a foundation built to grow.

02

Eloquent ORM with types and domain.

Relationships, observers, events and casts to model the business. Versioned migrations, factories and seeders to test on the real domain model.

03

Filament for enterprise back-office.

Admin panels with CRUDs, dashboards, filters, permissions and multi-tenant in days. Replaces Retool and Backpack on products where the admin weighs as much as the front.

04

Inertia and Livewire for reactive full-stack.

Inertia for SPAs with Vue or React without an intermediate API. Livewire for server-driven components that deliver reactivity without an SPA. The choice depends on the case.

05

Octane and Horizon for throughput.

Octane on Swoole or RoadRunner keeps the app in memory and multiplies RPS per instance. Horizon orchestrates Redis queues with supervision, metrics and automated retries.

06

Forge, Vapor and Pulse for operations.

Forge for managed servers, Vapor for AWS serverless, Pulse for in-app observability. Deployment, scaling and metrics in one flow, without custom glue.

02 · TECHNICAL DECISION

Four scenarios where Laravel fits like no other

Each scenario has its pattern. We model the case, the team and the product horizon before choosing, and leave the decision written in an ADR.

Back-office and admin panel

ADMIN · BACK-OFFICE

Internal ERPs, operational tools and SaaS back-offices on Filament. CRUDs, dashboards, granular permissions, multi-tenant and exports from sprint one.

CRUDs · Multi-tenant · RBAC

Server-driven full-stack product

FULL-STACK · SSR

Content sites, marketplaces and customer portals with Livewire and Alpine. Server-side rendering, SEO and fast delivery with reactive components over HTTP — no SPA.

SSR · SEO · Time-to-interactive

SaaS with rich UI

SPA · VUE OR REACT

SaaS products with rich interactions using Inertia + Vue or React. Laravel routing, authentication and validation; SPA experience on the client; no intermediate API to maintain.

SPA · Vue · React

Headless high-throughput API

API · HIGH THROUGHPUT

Mobile backends and headless APIs with Octane on Swoole or RoadRunner. In-memory app, latencies below 120ms p95 and throughput of thousands of RPS.

03 · QUESTIONS

What teams ask before choosing Laravel.

Concrete answers on performance, scale, Symfony comparison and Inertia or Livewire patterns.

  • Laravel or Symfony?
Laravel 11 fits MVPs, SaaS, dashboards and products with tight time-to-market: Eloquent, Filament, Inertia and Livewire cut weeks of work. Symfony fits long-life systems with complex domain and large teams. We model the case and write the decision into an ADR.
  • Does Laravel scale beyond the monolith?
Laravel scales stateless behind a load balancer, with Redis for sessions and cache, Horizon for async queues and PostgreSQL or MySQL read replicas. We run it on Kubernetes, Forge or Vapor with OpenTelemetry and p95, RPS and error metrics.
  • Octane or classic PHP-FPM?
Octane on Swoole or RoadRunner keeps the app in memory between requests and multiplies throughput per instance, with p95 latencies under 120ms on real APIs. PHP-FPM is still valid for moderate traffic and heterogeneous workloads.
  • Does Filament handle enterprise admins?
Filament covers CRUDs, dashboards, RBAC permissions, multi-tenant, exports and complex filters on Eloquent. In real projects it replaces Backpack and Retool, with delivery times in days and versioned in-house code.
  • Inertia or Livewire?
Inertia fits SPAs with Vue or React when the client carries weight and SEO is not critical, with no intermediate API. Livewire fits SSR with targeted reactivity, indexable content and fast delivery. The choice depends on the product and the team.
  • How do you migrate a legacy Laravel app to modern Laravel 11?
We version the code, apply Rector and Larastan to surface debt, migrate per bounded context with characterisation tests, and ship Laravel 11 with Octane and Horizon behind it. The legacy retires without stopping the business.
